Park
We would like to personally thank our anonymous donors for their generous donations to the park. The park will be a great success thanks to the great citizens that are dedicated to the park. The security system for the park has been ordered. Playground equipment has also been ordered and will be and will be installed on May 2 by volunteers. If you would like to be a part of this project, please contact Cheryl Horton at 940-663-2791. There have been fund raisers held at the Fall Festival and also the Dickens Parade. We have been working on this project for approximately three years.
Current Projects
Our Family Community Service class is involved in many different projects to help the community. Our second period volunteers at The Chamber of Commerce, Three Rivers Foundation, and we have a weekly radio show. We also had projects last semester which included The Chamber of Commerce, Senior Citizens, and Thompson Sawyer Library. Fifth period volunteered at the Hardeman County Museum, Regan Elementary School (helping with the cafeteria and also, with the individual classes), and Leslie Manor. Our fifth period, this semester, are assisting with the Kids Kloset, Three Rivers Foundation, and helping with the park renovation.
Chamber of Commerce
We have been helping Bertha with numerous activities around the town. We will also be helping serve the upcoming Chamber Banquet March 9th.
Three Rivers Foundation
We have been organizing and sorting through the 6,000 records that were donated to Three Rivers.

Senior Citizens
We helped out at the Leslie Manor by cleaning and filling plates to be delivered to Senior Citizens.
Radio Show
Our radio show comes on every Tuesday morning at 7:40 on 98.7 KREL Classic Country. To listen to previous recordings, click the links above.
Thompson Sawyer Library
We helped Jan Davis with sorting and straightening books. We also helped with cleaning up in and around the the library.

Hardeman County Museum
While working at the museum, our class assisted with the maintenance of the interior of the Hardeman County Museum and the Jail Museum. We helped Scarlet Daugherty with the organization of the artifacts and historical memorabilia.
Regan Elementary School
We helped individual teachers with grading and making copies. Some also made games for the children to play later on in the school year. Also, we helped with the cafeteria, by taking the trays from the kids, taking out trash, and wiping off the tables the children just left.
Kids Kloset
The object of the Kids Kloset is to provide children and adults in the community with clothing and shoes. Our class goes to the Presbyterian Church and sorts clothing to make it possible for different families to receive the clothing that has been generously donated.
