QISD Welcomes New Superintendent

Quanah Independent School District has selected finalist Buddy Freeman, Assistant Superintendent from Prairiland ISD, to fill the role of Superintendent.
Mr. Freeman started at Prairiland in 1984 as the High School Ag teacher. He taught Ag for 8 years. Mr. Freeman was then promoted to Elementary Principal in 1992 on the Blossom campus of Prairiland ISD, K-8 campus at that time.
In 1994, Mr. Freeman was promoted to Assistant Superintendent for Prairiland ISD in charge of technology, curriculum, cafeteria, transportation, textbooks. He was again promoted to Assistant Superintendent/Business Manager in 2000.
Mr. Freeman has been married to his wife Traci for 25 years. He and his wife have a daughter, Paige - age 20, who will be getting married and moving to Amarillo in June where her husband will attend Texas Tech Pharmacy School. Paige will finish her degree at WTA&M majoring in computer information systems with an education endorsement. They also have a son, Jordan - age 14, who will be a Quanah Freshman next year.
Mr. Freeman says, "Our family is very excited to be moving to Quanah. We have been so impressed with how friendly and hospitable everyone we have met there has been. We hope all of us working together will improve the education for Quanah students".
