Blood Drive

The Quanah community is partnering with Texas Blood Institute in an effort to save lives by having a blood drive. anyone who is healthy and 17 or older is invited to the Quanah High School from 1 PM to 6 PM, Thursday, Sept 2nd for a blood drive is sponsored by the QHS Student Council. A photo id is required to donate.
All blood donors will receive a free T-shirt.
Although all blood types are needed, those with 0 Negative type blood are especially encourage to donate. According to the American Association of Blood Banks, those with 0 Negative blood type make up only nine percent of the national population. However, 0 Negative blood can be used by anyone in emergency need when a patient's blood type has not yet been identified.
Texas Blood Institute is a non-profit, regional blood center. It is the sole source of blood for patients in the eight hospitals in the North Central Texas counties of Baylor, Wichita, Clay, Hardeman and Wilbarger.
