High School Preparation and Registration

QUANAH HIGH SCHOOL:
Parents must attend with their students; students cannot pre-register without a parent or legal guardian present so that all necessary paperwork can be given directly to the parents. No student schedules, locker assignments or parking spaces will be given out until all information is returned to the High School main office. It is vital that contact information be on file in case of an emergency. This includes student who are currently enrolled in the Quanah School District and all new students to the district.
New Students to Quanah may register at the High School anytime during the day beginning Tuesday, August 17, 2010 and will be require to furnish a birth certificate, social security card, and a record of immunizations (as required by Texas Law)a at the time of registration.
Freshmen and Sophomore orientation will begin a the QHS auditorium at 6:00 pm, August 16th. The Macbook technology fee of $40 will be due at orientation.
Junior and Senior orientation will begin at the QHS auditorium at 6:00 pm, August 17th. The Macbook technology fee of $40 will be due at orientation.
Macbook orientation will August 12th and 17th and will begin at 7:00 pm. All incoming 7th graders and New Students to the District, Grades 7 - 12, are required to attend one of the training sessions. The Macbook technology fee of $40 will be due at orientation.
Schedules and locker assignments may be picked up at the High School office August 19th and 20th until 4:00 pm.
All necessary paperwork must be completed before any class schedules are released.
August 23, 2010 - First Day of School: Students will report to the auditorium and will be on a shortened schedule before lunch. A short assembly will be held at 8:00 am in the auditorium. Following the assembly, students will meet with their class sponsors.
Pictures will be taken the first day of school.
Busses will run regular schedules, and breakfast and lunches will be served in the Reagan Elementary Cafeteria.
