Quanah High School (QHS) is a small, rural school located in the corner of the panhandle plains of Texas and serves 144 students in grades 9-12. QHS is the largest of two high schools in Hardeman County. Families are highly involved in all aspects of the school.

By fostering strong parent, teacher, and student relationships, the students at QHS receive the support they need to advance academically and accomplish their goals. The staff of QHS sets high expectations for students and provides ongoing support to allow students to meet and surpass their goals. Opportunities to explore various trades and careers are provided to enable students to better evaluate their future goals and plans once they graduate.

Most students at QHS are involved in multiple extracurricular activities and participate in community service opportunities. These opportunities allow students to understand the importance of participating in the local community government and working to support the people around them as part of their civic responsibilities.

The defining characteristic for those involved with QHS is the school’s culture. The culture here revolves around the best aspects of teamwork. Each professional knows that the students here come first, and that our efforts as a faculty maintain that focus. Students understand that every professional in the facility is working for them and can sense the camaraderie that the staff displays each day.

Capturing the best of parental involvement, relationship building, active engagement, high expectations, and highly positive school culture has led to great achievements at QHS!
