Qualified Pre-K Eligibility
To be eligible for enrollment in the Qualified Pre-K program, a child must be at least 4 years of age on or before September 1 and meet an eligibility requirement as determiend by the Texas Education Agency. No exceptions can be made.
State legislation provides a Prekindergarten program for children who will be 4 years of age of age on or before September 1 IF they meet at least one of the following criteria listed below:
is unable to speak and comprehend the English language; OR
is educationally disadvantaged (which means a student eligible to participate in the National Free or Reduced-Price lunch Program based on family income; OR
is educationally disadvantaged by having Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Medicaid Free, Medicaid Reduced or Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) Eligibillity Group Number (EDG#); OR
is homeless, as defined by 42 U.S.C Section 1143a, regardless of residency of the child, of either parent of the child, or of the child's guardian or other person having lawful control of the child; OR
is the child of an active duty member of the armed forces of the United State, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who is ordered to active duty by proper authority; OR
is the child of a member of the armed forced of the United States, including the state military or a reserve component of the armed forces, who is injured or killed while serving on active duty; OR
is or ever bee in the conservatorship of the Department of Family & Protective Services (foster care) following an adversary hearing held as provided by Section 262.201, Family Code; OR
is the child of a person eligible for the Star of Texas Award as: a peace officer under Section 3106.002, Goverment Code; a firefighter under Section 3106.003, Government Code; or an emergency medical first responder under Section 3106.004, Government Code; OR
transfer from a previously enrolled district in Texas (appropriate eligibility and registration documentation required)
Tuition Based Pre-Kindergarten
The tuition-based Pre-K program is designed for children who are four-years old on or before September 1 and do not meet an eligibility requirements of the Qualified Prek-K program. This program provides high-quality early childhood education to prepare students for Kindergarten and beyond.
Eligibility and Application Overview
Students must be four years old on or before Sept. 1st of the current school year. Students who will be five on or before Sept 1st are not eligible for the Tuition Based Pre-K Program.
Parents/guardians must complete all required registration forms and provide necessary documentation incuding a certified copy of the child's birth certificate, current immunization record, copy of parent/legal guardian government issued ID, proof of residency and social security card for each child.
Enrollment is contingent upon available space and submission of the first tuition payment by August 5th.
Applications are reviewed on a first-come/first-served basis and will be assigned on a space available basis.
Annual Tuition is required (may be paid in a lump sum or on a monthly basis.
Annual Tuition:
$300/month (due by the 5th of each month)
or
$3000 lump sum payment for the entire 10 month school year (due by August 5th)
Parents must also agree to specific program requirements, which include attendance expectations, hours of operation, and policies regarding late pick-ups or payment issues.
Register your student by completing the steps below:
Step 1 ~ Parent Portal

Do NOT enroll as a NEW student if they ever attended a Quanah School. Contact Reagan Elementary for your returning student's Portal ID to link your student in Parent Portal to begin early registration.
Complete Step 2 for each enrolling student.
If you do not live within Quanah ISD boundaries, you must complete the transfer application.
